me: what?? While it is certainly true that the US failed trade policies have allowed millions of manufacturing jobs to be shipped offshore to Third World countries, weakening the economy and virtually crippling the industrial sector the idea that less money for education is better for the economy because the forecast was wrong is absolutely ridiculous.

Reducing an emphasis on education is NOT the answer-should we just let the mindless drivel of corporation controlled public school educated puppets go out into the real world without any knowledge of how to analyze and interpret information and be happy to receive ANY employment while key components of law making continue to affect us and destroy the middle class? Why bother to get educated when you have to work such long hours just to make ends meet and compete with less developed countries that benefit our key money players? Shouldn’t we all just be happy to survive while others are able to purchase our political system and we have zero ability to discern disseminated information?? …time to start debating the real stuff… Of course outsourcing benefits only the short to medium bottom line however when you can jump off with that golden parachute who cares about the business’s long term profitability? If you are not born into a powerfully connected wealthy family than just close your eyes, shut off your brain and get a damn job you lazy high school graduates!!! (Who ever said you could change things?)

Finally discovered a sort of movement tied to news concerning non party affiliated voters. A new bill was proposed trying to allow primaries to be open. Will have to follow….

 So very true-WHERE is the voice/party that represents independent thinkers?? WHERE is our news as well??
I have to flip back and forth between MSNBC and FOX to try and  get enough information to make a reasonable assumption. Why dont we change the way money is transferred for a candidate to run? With corporations, special interestes, lobbying, party before people affiliation, etc, etc, who in the h@ll can we choose that doesnt swing the pendulum too far either way? Lest we forget the INDEPENDENTS were the deciding factor in the last big election…..now what should we call our grass roots movement? That is the question I want Daily Times readers to answer.

THIS CLEARLY SHOWS TOOMEYS POSITION -AGAINST GOVERNMENT WASTE -GOOD POSITION

“He’s supported all the budgets and the bills that have created the biggest deficits in the history of our country by far,” Mr. Toomey said. “He supports this massive expansion in government. … We need to shrink the size of government, reduce spending, we should be looking to lower taxes, not raise taxes.”
NOT GOOD THAT SESTAK VOTED FPR ALL HOWEVER LOWERING TAXES IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER
Mr. Sestak says Mr. Toomey is a former Wall Street derivatives and credit swaps trader who voted to repeal a law that would have kept commercial and investment banks separate and prevented risky investments that led to the nation’s economic collapse. He said Mr. Toomey “literally set the house on fire” and “walked away and we had to put the fire out.”
SESTAK IS DEAD ON ABOUT THIS-THE REPEAL OF THOSE PROTECTIVE MEASURES ALLOWED A PILE OF MONEY TO VANISH INTO THE HANDS OF “SLEAZY DEAL MAKERS” WHILE MAKING US PAY IN THE END.

“Didn’t want to do it, but there was a fire,” said Mr. Sestak, who touts a plan to boost small businesses. “(Mr. Toomey) believes Wall Street was right when they said they shouldn’t have any regulations … It’s not about Wall Street. It’s about the people of Pennsylvania who work and want to work and most of them work in a small business.”

Mr. Toomey said the repeal had nothing to do with the collapse, which was caused by “banks and other institutions lending money to people who couldn’t pay it back” and partly by “Congress passing laws to encourage home ownership by people who aren’t ready to own homes.”
STUPID COMMENT TOOMEY-THE LURE WAS THERE NOT BECAUSE THE LENDER WAS EAGER TO MAKE A RISKY LOAN FOR THE SAKE OF HOME OWNERSHIP BUT INSTEAD SO THEY COULD MAKE TONS OF MONEY ON UPFRONT FEES, PACKAGE AND SELL IT ALL WITH THE FALSELY STAMPED “A” RATING AND NEVER HOLD THE RISK. YOU FELL QUITE A FEW POINTS WITH THIS ONE.
- As a congressman, Mr. Toomey supported President George W. Bush’s tax cuts and a version of Mr. Bush’s senior citizens prescription drug plan.

Mr. Sestak, who became a congressman long after the tax cuts and drug plan were passed, says both contributed to the nation’s huge deficits because Republicans never came up with the spending cuts or revenues to pay for them.
WHILE SESTAK HAS NO RIGHT CRITIZING SPENDING WHICH HE LOVES, HE IS RIGHT ABOUT THIS-LOOK AT HISTORICAL TAX RATES ESPECIALLY IN TIMES OF WAR. TAX CUTS HELP ONLY UP TO A CERTAIN POINT-NOT A STRAIGHT GRAPH LINE HERE + PRESCRIPTION PLAN COST IS HUGE .
“Fifty percent of our national debt over the next 10 years is the interest that he put on our national credit card,” he said.

Mr. Toomey calls Mr. Sestak’s argument “laughable” and contends the tax cuts “generated powerful economic growth” that lowered the national unemployment rate to 4 percent, and increased federal revenues.
GEE CLINTONS TAX CUTS DID THIS AS WELL (JUST FOR A DIFFERENT TAX BRACKET)-WHAT REALLY PUSHED ECONOMY-COULD IT HAVE BEEN THE BILLION DOLLAR REFINANCING TO PAY OFF YOUR CREDIT CARDS MERRY GO ROUND? NO, WE ALL ARE TO BELIEVE A MILLIONAIRE’S EXTRA 7K IS NOW DISCRETIONARY SPENDING PUMPED INTO THE ECONOMY AFTER HE/SHE HIRES A FULL TIME WORKER WITH WHATS LEFT OVER FOLLOWING THE SHOPPING TRIP TO WALMART.
Mr. Toomey said he opposed the adopted prescription drug plan because the country could not afford it.
TOOMEY IS RIGHT.
- Mr. Sestak favors abortion rights. Mr. Toomey opposes them.

- Mr. Sestak favors gun control and received an “F” from the National Rifle Association’s political arm in 2008. Mr. Toomey got an “A”.
WOW THAT IS FAR OFF-HAVE TO GO WITH TOOMEY ON THIS ONE.
- Mr. Toomey favors giving young people the right to invest part of their Social Security payroll tax in private accounts. Mr. Sestak argues that would jeopardize the entire system.
PRIVATIZE EVERYTHIIG BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH LESS RISKY -EITHER WAY I’M SCREWED
- Mr. Toomey said he voted against the state Children’s Health Insurance Program as unaffordable. Mr. Sestak supported it.

- Mr. Toomey supports a flat income tax to simplify the nation’s cumbersome tax system. Mr. Sestak opposes a flat tax because he believes it would sharply raise taxes on lower- and middle-income taxpayers and cut taxes
UNTIL WE HAVE REAL WAGE PRODUCING ACTUAL REAL JOBS THAT AFFORD US THE ABILITY TO HAVE HEALTH CARE WE ARE ALL GOING TO BE EITHER THE POOR WHO RECEIVE HELP, THE RICH WHO PROTEST THAT WE CARRY TOO HEAVY A BURDEN OR THE MIDDLE CLASS WHO WORK TWO JOBS TO FEED A BOTTOMLESS PIT OF HEAVY CREDIT CARD, STUDENT LOAN, AND HOUSE HEAVY DEBT THAT BURNS US OUT DESPITE THE ANTIDEPRESSANTS. WE BETTER GET RKH OR JUMP IN THE GOVERNMENT WAGON BEFORE WE ALL THE ONLY ONES PULLING IT…
